Chapter 4: After School...

"Everybody!” their coach Kim Jaejoong shouted. “One last round before we call it a night! Shi…jak!” A whistle blow signaled the start of another race.
She hit the water smoothly and started to swim, focusing only on the space intended for her. The sound of moving water filled her ears, her breathing kept on a steady pace. She lifted her face and plunged in again.
“Nana! Faster!” she heard Mr. Kim say.
She flipped and touched her feet on the wall, turning to make another lap. But when she looked in front of her…
She gasped for breath and threw up all the water she took in. Her heartbeat pumped faster as she coughed continuously.
“Nana, are you okay?” Jaejoong asked her, patting her back.
She drowned. All the other swimmers gathered around her. She looked at the pool hoping to see a trace of what appeared before her but saw nothing more than the clear water.
“Seohyun…” she whispered biting her lower lip before slapping the water. She stood heading to the culprit herself.
“You placed that there didn’t you?” she grabbed Seohyun’s hair and pulled hard. “You bitch! What do you want from me?!”
She saw it when they took her body…that doll. That black doll, it was there in the pool too when she was swimming. And she knows that this girl was the one who was scaring her.
Jaejoong pulled her away while Hara hugged Seohyun who was already crying.
“Are you trying to scare me? Wae? Because you want to be the best here?!” She tried to reach her once more but Jaejoong blocked her. “Seonsaeng~nim, that girl tried to kill me! She distracted me! Didn’t you see that doll on my lane? I’m sure she placed it there!!”
Hara threw a harsh breath. “What the…are you out of your mind? Seohyun was swimming two lanes from yours, Nana. If you’re to blame her, blame me instead, idiot!”
“That’s enough, you hear me? Enough!”  Jaejoong looked at Nana. “I haven’t seen anything like that Nana, you just panicked, and that’s all. I think all of you are tired. Let’s just go home, training’s done for tonight.”
~♥~
“She’s really crazy, that Nana.” Hara wiped her hair while Seohyun was packing her things.
Nana already left ahead of them and used the other shower room. She really turned paranoid after the incident.
“Hara…I saw her too…” Seohyun looked at her. “That doll I saw her too.”
Hara sat beside her and patted her hair. “You know what Seohyun~ah? When you hair changed, some screws from your head fell off. Maybe it will be better if you go back to the frizzy hairdo. Araso?” She lifted her own things and stood up. “You’re heading for the library again tonight?”
Seohyun nodded and watched Hara leave. She touched her, she was not lying. She saw that doll, too…
~♥~
“Where are you? I’m waiting for almost half an hour here, Siwonie!” Nana shouted at the phone in her hand.
                “Mianhae, Nana…but I can’t fetch you tonight? I am—”
                “Siwon?”
Static intercepted his words that it became inaudible she almost threw her phone. Why now? She sighed. She rubbed her hands on her cold arms. Is it just her or the night grew colder than it ought to be? Maybe it’s just the climate…it was autumn afterall.
She walked to the street and dialed for a taxi. Since they usually end practice really late, the last bus must have passed already. But after a few tries, she still cannot connect to the operator.
“Shit...” she whispered and clenched the phone on her palm. It must be broken then.
All the bad luck fell on her that day. After that sneaky girl used all the chemicals in the world to straighten her frizzier than frizzy hair, she became like this. She got scolded by Mr. Park for not passing her assignment, she almost fell down the stairs just to attend a meeting and now she almost got drowned. Yeah, she’s partly the one to blame, but hey! That girl got lucky? Uh-uh, that’s not fair.
She stomped and headed towards the main streets, only a few people can be seen and almost no cars, no vehicles around for her to hitch. She stood under the streetlight and crossed her arms on her chest. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath.
Somebody laughed a sinister laugh making her open her eyes. And then, she was somewhere she wasn’t before.
It was a dim lit street where the only light was the place where she was standing. She started to panic, where is she? What the hell is this?
“Who’s there? Yah, Seohyun~ah are you really trying to scare me?” she said.
Instead of an answer, somebody wrapped a cold hand around her neck. It was really cold…as cold as ice…its nails were longer than anything she could imagine that even if she wanted to scream, her voice was trapped inside her throat and wouldn’t come out.
“You like scary things don’t you?” whispered a voice that is vaguely familiar…but still, she cannot recognize. “Let me show you what scary is, Nana…”
Its long nail grazed her waist…tearing the shirt she was wearing. She wanted to scream when the nails started to dig slowly on her skin but her voice will only come as a muffled one.
AAAHHHHH!!! HAJIMA!!! HAJIMAAAAA!!! She wanted to scream aloud.
She closed her eyes tightly but as she did, she felt the pain all the more. Those nails, as long as it was, felt like butterflies inside her stomach. Touching every organ inside her abdomen that she started to feel the blood coming up her throat, tears trickled down her face.
“Are you scared Nana…? Is it painful?”
           Hajima…
The hand pulled out of her numb body and dug another heart wrecking wound. One after another, those nails dug in her like a butcher cutting a cow’s meat. Omma…she can’t do anything but try to wriggle out of that pain. Blood flowed endlessly from her wounds which were as deep as a cliff, she coughed blood and her eyes twirled in agony.
           “Let me end this Nana…”
The fingers around her throat wrapped tighter clutching every piece of skin and muscle it can take…pulling her throat...and then…silence filled the air when her body fell down the almost empty street. Blood drenched and almost lifeless…Nana gagged on her own blood, while the same doll looks at her, eyes as cold as crystal. Another mysterious smile formed on those lifelike lips.
~♥~
“Youngwoon~ssi…”
Youngwoon turned and saw a woman waving a hand to him asking him to come closer. He can’t see her face, but he knows that she studies at the same school as he because of her uniform.
                “Who was that?”
He was on his way home after staying at school for another one of those late night study sessions where all you do is stare at your book and pretend to study. Well, everyone in Korea does this so it doesn’t really matter to him if he comes home really late. He looked at his watch, 11:30 PM.
He looked at the girl again and saw her waiting for him at the main streets. What does she want from him?
“Youngwoon~ssi balli…” she waved a hand at him again.
He doesn’t know why he did but he followed the girl, his bicycle by his side. “Who are you what do you want?” he said while walking closer.
The girl just nodded and pointed somewhere to her right and asked him to follow her. When he turned to the street where she disappeared, what he saw almost made his insides come out. Because right there, lying under a street light, was a girl his age. If he remembered it right, it was Nana from the other class. Her body wrecked as if by a wild animal.
He threw up and has forgotten about the girl who brought him there. All he knows was that…it was familiar. That scene…it was too familiar. Oh, yeah…it looks just like that girl he saw last time. Go Yu Hee. Fuck, why does he always intend to see dead people on streets just like this?

Chapter 3: Transferee...

Wolf whistles filled the hallway as the new girl walked through the corridors of the school. Boys were unable to keep their jaws from dropping. Drop dead gorgeous…
                “Oh, my freaking gosh!”
Yonghwa wiped his eyes and blinked twice. Was that Seohyun he was seeing? Kyuhyun nudged his ribcage and winked. It’s really her then. No more frizzy-hair-glasses-flat shoes combination.
Nicole smirked as the girl sat on her usual seat at the farthest right side of the classroom. Everyone’s attention still focused on her. What a sudden change? Does it mean she’s really going to join that queenka competition after turning down those previous questions? Stupid she thought.
Seohyun tucked one stray hair behind her ear knowing the eyes that kept on looking at her. A slim girl whose hair has been tied in pig tails ran to her side, blinking and staring at her. “Seohyun~ah, have you decided to join the competition? Whaa…”
Nana pushed Hara away. “Seohyun~ah...have you done my assignment?”
She looked at her, smiling and handing her a notebook. “Maybe it’s time you do your own.”
Seohyun stood up lifting the stack of notebooks from a paper bag and placing them neatly on the table in front of the classroom. “Just so you know, I’m tired of doing assignments for other people.”
The gang stood up and gave her a standing ovation while the others took their notebooks, throwing deadly gazes at Seohyun.
“Very well said, whoo!” Wooyoung howled.
Jungshin whistled while Kyuhyun and Yonghwa made a walkway while clapping just like an award ceremony. Even Shindong who just woke up clapped. “Why are we clapping?”
Ryeowook pushed his spectacles up and chuckled before shrugging. Gain lifted her face and watched the scene with bored eyes, arms still crossed on her chest while her legs carefully rested on her own table.
As Seohyun headed to her desk, two strong hands grabbed her arms. “Is that so? Hah…guess we can’t stop that, right Tif?”
Tiffany nodded at Jessica. “But then…we can’t stop bullying you either. Mianhae, Seohyun~ssi.”
Her eye smile doesn’t rattle Seohyun anymore. In fact, nothing seems to scare her no more. She removed their hands.
“Then we can’t do anything about that either.” She pushed past the two. And before any of them had the chance to react and pull her hair, their homeroom teacher came in and they sat down.
“Charyeot, Kyeungrye.” Their class monitor Taeyeon said.
All of them bowed and greeted Park Jung Su. “Good morning class,” he leaned on the table as usual. “Today, we have new company, Park Hyun Cheol.”
A cute boy entered the room and waved happily at the. He introduced himself as Karam and was given the seat beside Lee Joon who welcomed him.
“Sssss…” he closed his eyes and placed two fingers on his temple and whispered. “I can feel something…you’ve done something naughty last night didn’t you?”
The blush on Chae Rin’s face confirmed what he just said, hitting Lee Joon’s shoulder. Karam smiled. But as he looked around the class, there was a certain pretty girl with a mysterious smile. Her long black hair falls straight to her back. And as she watched him looking at her, his skin started to tingle and he can’t focus. There was something about this girl…and it’s making him feel the chills down his spine.

A/N:
Please forgive me for changing Seohyun's hair...yeah I know...sorry...
And, I changed her attitude too! I want to se her fight, she never seems to get angry (except at Yonghwa >.<) .

Chapter 2: 악몽 : Nightmare...

He walked slowly, taking the same dark street she took. Breathing in the cold, crisp air of the autumn night, he can only hear the howl of the wind and the sound of his own footsteps. Everything was dark from the place where he stood, up to the end of the alley. He tried to start a fire from the lighter in his hand.
A gust of cold wind passed him giving him goose bumps. He covered his eyes to protect them from the debris that flew together with the wind, the concrete walls echoing its cries.
            Tap. Tap. Tap.
He paused under the street lamp, looking behind him towards the place where the light couldn’t reach but saw no one. Something crept up behind his neck.
“Are you scared?” a voice echoed behind him.
The light flickered and died as the sound of heavy footsteps came rushing to where he stood making him stumble backwards. Another harsh wind gushed to his face forcing him to close his eyes, chilling his skin until goose bumps started to form. The sound of laughter filled the entire alley, a devilish laugh, burning every ounce of courage in his heart.
He covered his ears, trying to stop the eerie sound. A cold hand wrapped around his throat slowly, like a snake wrapping its body around its prey. He stood without moving. Not even breathing. He closed his eyes.
Heechul tried to shake himself out of that dream, gasping air as he opened his eyes.
            “BOO!”
A doll’s face looked down on him, eyes as red as scarlet blood. Its long hair covered the sides of his face, leaving him nowhere else to look but to her.
            “AAAAHHHHHH!!!”
The hum of the air conditioner and the continuous sound of his alarm clock woke him up. Sitting, this time he was certain he was awake. Sweat beaded on his forehead, he took the glass of water on his bedside table. Nightmare.
He looked around him, trying to familiarize himself to his surroundings. Seoul. His apartment in the city. He sighed.
How long has it been since he last handled a murder case? Three? Four years?
His phone rang, making him twitch.
            “Yeoboseyo?”
~♥~
He slammed at the table, startling every single soul inside the station. “Didn’t I give you the freaking doll?! How can you just tell me that you lost it?! Do you want to lose your soul, huh Jongwoon?!”
The younger policeman cannot do anything but hunch his back and look down. This was not the first time he has seen the prosecutor angry, well at least it was the first time he was angry with him. And when he’s this angry, they cannot control what will happen.
“Sir,” Their desk officer Lee Changmin came saved his life by entering the room before he was “scolded” by their chief. “The kid’s mom came.”
            “Who?”
He flipped over the papers on his hand and read the name of the kid. “Kim Youngwoon...the one who saw the body on the block.”
The chief looked at him and scared the soul out of him with his eyes. “Remember this Jongwoon, I’m not done with you yet.” He looked at the others beside him. “All of you, look for that doll!”
Heechul went out of the room and headed to the lobby where the Youngwoon’s mother waited patiently, fear and confusion visible in her droopy eyes as she looked around. The moment she saw him, she stood up and bowed, he did the same.
“Please take a sit, Mrs. Kim. How may I help you?”
“Prosecutor,” she sat nervously on the chair at the other side of the table. “My son’s been acting weird since that day. He’s always agitated and he says silly things.”
“Ma’am, it’s common for teenagers who saw crimes to act that way. Have you tried consulting to a doctor?”
“Yes, they only give him medications but nothing’s working. Officer, can you come over to our house and see what’s happening to him?”
He tapped on the cigarette box in his pocket and thought. Maybe that kid still has something to say. “Okay, I will come over. But can you please wait here for a while?”
The old woman nodded as he stood and headed for his office.
~♥~
Nana wrapped her long arms around Seohyun’s shoulder. “Did you finish my assignment Seohyun~ah?”
Her smile was mocking, scaring the older girl. Though Seohyun was older by month, she was still rattled by the aura of the pretty girl beside her.
“N~ne…” she stuttered before handing the notebook.
“Komawo!” Nana gave a smack on her chubby cheeks.
It was another day at school for her. Since that girl died, YunHee, she was being bullied all over again. It was that girl’s fault, all her fault because she died that night. If she was still alive, this will not happen to her.
Another guy entered the noisy room. Instead of mourning because of the loss of one influential person in their school, the people around her seem to be enjoying the fact that the girl has died such a terrible death.
Popular girls were preparing for the next search of queenkas. Tiffany and Jessica were qualified as the best candidates for the position. Her so-called friends kept on pushing her to run for the position as well. Crap. As if they really want her to win the stupid crown. They only want her to look stupid.
Seohyun, a nerd, unlike that beautiful YunHee who was being lusted by all those freaking highschool boys. Sometimes she wants to smack the hell out of that girl, thinking that she was perfect, such a stupid person.
She looked by the window, hoping that the day will pass without anyone asking her to do their homeworks or asking her for her notes. She really wonders how they manage to enter such a prestigious school with that kind of thinking.
            “Jealous bitch…”
She looked at Nana who was busy putting on her make-up. “Did you say anything?”
The girl looked at her and raised an eyebrow. Odd…she was sure she heard someone.
“You want to look as beautiful as her…let me help you…”
~♥~
“Omma, what are you talking about?” Youngwoon asked her mother.
It wasn’t what Heechul expected. Even his mother looked surprised to see the young man normal. Saying that he acted crazy, she was not sure anymore.
“You didn’t leave me anything. Hyung, took my bike. I was waiting for you to come home, look now; I’m really late for school. Haish.”
They just looked at him as he passed them. “I—I was sure he was not like this before I came to the station. He was acting unlike himself.”
“Maybe, he coped up real fast with the event. Don’t worry ma’am, it’s really normal.”
“I’m sorry for bothering you officer, I shouldn’t have called you.”
Heechul nodded and headed for the door. He has the feeling again, that cold wind just like in his dream. He shook his head and went out to the streets. This is just another day Heechul…you’ll get used to the killings again…just like before. For now, you have a doll to find.

Undone : There are things left... Chapter 1: DULCE...

It was Go Yun Hee’s nineteenth spring, a new day when her future unfolds, her nineteenth birthday. She lifted the model doll in her hands like a little child. It was given to her by Sungmin, her long time boyfriend.
                “Hello, Dulce.”
It was a pale faced doll with large black eyes made of glass. Her long black hair falls down to her waist. Her eyes glittered in the night light of the restaurant where they were eating that night. It was almost as if she has a life. A soul inside the body made out of wood.
Most people are afraid of model dolls like Dulce. Dolls like her were special. There was even a myth that they acquire soul from those who made them. But Yun Hee wasn’t afraid. She loves dolls. Her room was a doll house. But Dulce wasn’t like any other dolls that she already owned.
Many model dolls wear the most glamorous dresses you can ever see. Mostly were made out of silk and very colorful. But this doll she was holding wears an aristocratic black dress.  Even her accessories were very intricate. Her skin glows as if she was alive. Her lips that were as red as cherries painted a smile that can make even her shiver; it was mysterious just like Monalisa’s.
She has this blank expression on her face despite the name given to her. The name Dulce means happiness, but maybe, she was named that way because she’s meant to give happiness to the person who received her. But even if she was weird by that sense, there was something about her that Yun Hee felt attached to her from the very first moment. Maybe it’s because she was given to her by her most loved person.
Sungmin held her hand from across the table and she smiled at him to express her joy.
“Will you go to the library again tonight?” he asked.
She nodded enthusiastically. “Will you take me there?”
He crinkled his nose like he was in pain. He groaned. “I need to go and meet Donghae. We’re going to have a gig tonight.”
Disappointment painted on her pretty face, but she was more hurt than just disappointed. And he knows it when she’s like that. She pouted her lips and pulled her hand from his.
He groaned once more before sitting beside her. He wrapped his arms around her. “Mianhae chagi~ya…” he knows he’s cute enough to win her over and over. “Don’t worry; I’ll go with you tomorrow. Hmm?”
                She sighed. “I understand…but oppa…”
They’ve been together for three years now. Before, they were always fighting because of simple things. Just like this one that they’re having right now. But as they say, as people grew older, they begin to have more understanding.
~♥~
They walked down the streets together with their hands linked and stopped by the end.
“ Here…” he leaned forward and gave her a peck on the cheek. “Saeng-il chuk ha hae.”
When he pulled off, she held his hand tighter. “Take care.”
                “You too...”
They exchanged their goodbyes and parted ways.
Yun Hee carried Dulce on her left arm, letting the doll sit like a princess, and took the shorter way to the library.
Being a top student, she can’t just stay at home and play with her dolls all day. She earned her position through hard work and patience. It was something you cannot gain that fast. Her perseverance paid off when she became famous in her school. The campus Queenka. Though many people think that Queenkas were mean, she proved them all wrong and it made her more famous.
“When we reach home later, you’ll get to meet all your brothers and sisters.” She smiled at Dulce and touched her hair. Unbelievably, it felt like real hair. Maybe this doll was really expensive. She was glad; it only means that Sungmin really loves her.
She turned to her right. It will be the first time that she will take this path. There was only one street lamp in the middle of the alley. Its dim light helped her see the path where she was walking.
                “Yun Hee…”
She looked behind her. There was no one. She tilted her head. It was odd, she was certain she heard someone calling her.
“Nah,” she said to herself. “I’m just missing Sungmin oppa, ain’t I Dulce?”
She continued to walk and reached the street lamp.
                “Yun Hee…”
She frowned. There it was again, the strange calling of her name. She stopped and looked again, but there was still no one. The street lamp flicked and died.
“Yah, who’s there?” she tried to be tough, knowing that being scared won’t help. But honestly, she was nervous as hell.
Her hands were turning cold as she tried to stop herself from shivering. She doesn’t usually get scared, but she was somewhere unfamiliar to her. Footsteps started to echo in the silent alley, it rattled all the strength left in her.
                “Don’t scare me!”
Laughter filled the narrow alley while a cold breeze touched her skin.
“Are you scared?” a female’s voice filled the dark night together with the continuous footsteps that’s coming near her. Another chorus of laughter filled the alley. It was like those that you can hear in the movies, like it was not just from a single person.
                “Hajima!”
She turned and ran. She was scared, really scared. But even as she covered her ears, she can still hear the voices following her. She didn’t dare look behind.
“Ah!” she tripped and dropped the doll in her hand. “Dulce…”
She took her phone and looked for Dulce. Footsteps were getting closer to her as she tried to grope for Dulce. She was blind.
She then saw her, lying not far from her. She stumbled in hurry to reach for her. But as her hand touched the body of the doll, another hand enclosed it. Cold and it wrapped itself around hers dangerously.
                “Boo!”
She screamed at the top of her lungs, waking the ravens in the silent night of autumn.
~♥~
Sirens were blaring. Cameras continued flashing. The district policemen gathered around the cold lifeless body. A call was received. A girl’s dead body was found.
This will be the first murder case he will be taking over since he was transferred to the district. Come to think of it, it will be the first one after a few years. Heechul puffed one last huff of the cigarette before throwing it.
He walked past the crowd of people and media that have gathered around the scene and crossed the police line. Most, if not all, were just curious about the victim. No one has claimed to be the victim’s family, poor girl.
“Officer,” he called to the female officer Kim Yoo Jin.
“Good Morning, sir.” The woman saluted as they walked side by side towards the victim’s body. “We have cleared and searched the scene of the crime, but we haven’t found any materials used to kill the kid.”
She passed him a report. “Based on the smell and temperature of the corpse, we concluded that it’s been ten hours since the crime was committed. About 8:30 to 9:00 last night.”
He stopped and flipped through the pages, “A doll? Where is it?”
The female officer led him to the body while he wore the mask to cover his nose. He wore a pair of gloves and carefully walked the path to the body lying a few feet away so as not to step on any blood. He shivered inside, trying not to show it, because of the awful sight.
“Did anyone come close to the body before you arrived?” He examined the body of the pitiful girl. Go Yun Hee. Such a pretty girl, too bad she died early.
“A young man, sir. He was supposed to go to the court over there,” she said pointing to their right. “But then he saw the body. Poor kid was still in the state of shock. He was still at the station.”
He nodded while observing Yun Hee. One gunshot above the collar bone, she was stabbed to death based on the number of wounds on her body. But what killed her was the slit on her neck. Too deep that it already cut her throat, exposing her tubes and ended her life in an instant. Whoever made this was a psycho.
Blood were all over the place, he was surprised not to see any signs of struggle, not even a bruise. He checked her hands. There were cuts there too. Did she try to stop the blade? Or was it caused by the suspect after pulling the blade out just to dig another wound?
Her eyes were wide opened and bloodshot as if she cried blood itself. Her mouth gaped. And beside her, lies the doll in the same position but there was no blood.
“Have you taken pictures of the scene?” he asked the woman beside him and she nodded. “Mark the place. I’ll take this doll.”
It was odd. How can the doll be so damned clean when the whole place was literally drenched in blood?
“Dulce…” he read the necklace dangling on the doll’s neck. “You look a lot like your owner.”
He signaled two officers and they hurried to come by his side. Handing them the doll he said, “You have a place for this? Check for fingerprints. This may be the only lead.”
                “Sir, please move back!”
He looked behind him and saw a young man by the age of the girl.
“Yun Hee~yah!! Yun Hee~yah!! Andwae!!” the man kept on struggling his way towards the corpse. “Yun Hee~yaaaahhhh!!!”
He shook his head. Looks like it was the girl’s boyfriend, pity.

EPISODE 5: “Kangin’s Story – Watermelon”

Part 1

“Aish…” he hissed as he tried to find another way after seeing familiar faces.
Some Camomiles and E.L.F.s must have heard about him being in Jeju but he hope not. Once the news comes out, he’s dead meat.
He’s been there for almost eight hours after the plane landed but it’s really hard to find a place to stay where he won’t be noticed. Up to now, he has succeeded to hide well. And the sudden discovery of his whereabouts can cause him death. He’ll die not because of his fans or antis but in the hands of his manager and the other members.
He called his manager hyung yesterday to ask for permission to go home but ended up sneaking to a plane to go to Jeju. Nobody knows that he was there except his father; and if the members found out that he’s in Jeju, they will certainly kill him. He even turned off his phone to prevent them from calling him. But besides that, he has his own reasons too.
For the past few days since the accident, he received various calls, not from fans but from antis. They always say that the members should have died and that they were just lucky enough to survive. All the while, he thought that the anti-fans were already gone after years of them being on a hiatus but he was wrong.
He wrapped his scarf tighter around his neck and pulled down his beanie. It’s not impossible to find someone dressed like him during a cold winter night. The wind was almost freezing accompanied by mild snowfall so he managed to blend easily with the crowd. His problem was that his burns were starting to sting. He hasn’t taken medications yet plus he wants to scratch the wounds on his arm.
His burns were not fully recovered yet; he also has wounds from glass shards that flew his way during their fall. But as stubborn as he was, he wrapped his wounds insisting that it would only hurt him more when they touched his clothes and he successfully convinced his doctor.
He looked at the mirror beside him and saw his reflection. He doesn’t look like an idol at all. He has grown a mustache and has stubbles on his face. Even if it irritates him and he wanted to remove them, he stopped himself from doing so, thinking that it can help him. Because of these things, people don’t recognize him easily.
After walking for a few more minutes, he found a secluded street. It has been a while since he last went to Jeju. It would have been fun if they went together. It will be a riot, but certainly, it would be much more fun. He sighed. If the accident didn’t happen, they will surely be playing games now. Singing and dancing. What a gift for Christmas they had.
He looked at his watch, it was already 7:30 but he hasn’t had anything for dinner yet. His reason for going to this place was never to have fun or to eat food. His intention was to start looking for Leeteuk. He can’t seem to take it; the fact that he can’t do something but just stay at home and wait for the news.
He turned to his right, but the scene stopped him. What’s this?
~~
“Let me go!” she pulled her arm from her abductor and succeeded.
She tried to run but the man caught her again through her hair and grabbed her wrist.
“Why (Name)~yah? Where do you think you’re going, huh?!” she earned a slap from the man.
“I didn’t do it! I already told you!” She wriggled and tried to escape him. “I’m not a fool, if you’re framing me up, you’ll see!”
She kicked the man’s shin and ran. When she looked back she saw him take out a rusty dagger. Her eyes grew large in horror imagining the filthy blade cutting her flesh. He would not think twice of killing her, she’s the only person who can make things worse for him. She’s the only person who can challenge the man.
“Go, run for your life (name)~yah.” He walked slowly, grazing the blade of his dagger on the wall. “Do you think you can run away from me?”
She stumbled upon a tire that lies on the hard ground and fell. He saw the opportunity and ran to her.
“It’s over!” his scary laugh filled the long street.
She closed her eyes thinking that it would be the end of her. Freaking life she had. She’s regretting the day she was born in this kind of life. She’s really unlucky.
                “Ugh!”
                “Let’s go!”
She was pulled by someone she didn’t know with an unbelievable strength forcing her to stand up and follow him. She looked back to the man who was planning to kill her and saw him lying on the ground clutching his midsection.
“Faster,” the man before her said as he continued to drag her helplessly to the street on their left. “Do you want to die?”
“Not here, we can’t go in here! He will find us for sure. Are you stupid?” she removed her arm from his grasp and hit the man’s arm. “Don’t you know what you’ve just done? You’re against one of the most dangerous men here in Jeju!”
She then pulled him towards the other direction, still maintaining the pace they started. It would be dangerous if ever he found them. By now, he would have called his followers to look for her. She’s dead. But that’s not the point of running away. This man with her will surely be affected by his wrath as well.
They stopped once they reached one of her safe houses inside the wilderness. Yes, the wilderness is where she hides for the safety of her life. But now, it’s not just for her but for this silly boy as well. Who is he anyway?
Without realizing it, she was staring at him while still holding his hand. He wasn’t complaining though, but she was mesmerized. The longer she looked at him, the more familiar he becomes. Wait…too much familiarity…he seems to look like someone she knows a lot.
“K—K—Kangin?!” she threw his hand and wanted to hide immediately. Her accent showed itself making her more embarrassed.
~~
He was captured and stuck inside the forest, trapped with a beautiful lady. But isn’t she a beast?
“Imonim(aunt),” she hissed at her phone. “Yeah, I’m here again.”
He shook his head. After giving him dinner and letting him stay for the night, she hasn’t said a word to him. She’s been talking to her aunt for almost an hour and has forgotten about his existence. But it’s nice staying at this house. Even if it was quite small, it’s pretty comfortable. The heat system was working well and the house was beautiful.
He forced a cough. “Excuse me.”
She looked at him. “Ne, I’ll just talk to you later.” She placed the phone back to its cradle.
She walked towards him; all the signs of her startled self from the previous night were gone. Is she mentally disordered or what? “Don’t try to ask me to take you back to the main streets because I won’t. You have probably seen what happened and I’m not planning to risk my life for someone like you. Don’t worry, I had already asked my aunt to help you with a place to stay while you’re looking for Leeteuk~ssi.”
She turned her back on him. “And,” she looked again. “Thank you for helping me.”
~~
She wanted to hug him so badly. Never did she ever imagine that she would one day meet her favorite member. She was infatuated to him for so long, since they debuted in 2005. She was a normal girl after all. But meeting him at these circumstances, it was really a bad timing.
She can’t remember how many times she flipped on her bed last night thinking about him. She knows that it was warm in the living room because she checked the temperature twice before entering her room, but she’s worried that he’s not used to sleeping on the couch.
When she went out to see how he’s doing, she was shocked to see him beside the window, crying. He misses their leader and shyly wiped his tears away. She was touched to see the big man crying so she gave him a cup of hot chocolate filled with mallows and talked to him all night long.
He was not the same person she always sees on the television. He’s…well, he’s much more transparent in person, more human. He has a tender heart, maybe that’s what men realize after they have entered the army. But now, it’s time to say goodbye. She can’t let him stay with her. It only means danger, for the two of them.
~~
“Where to…where to…” he looked around, turned and spun many times. He was lost.
He kicked the fallen tree branch and regretted it. “Aish!” he lifted his foot and rubbed it. “Where do I go from here?”
He left the house before noon but it’s already afternoon and he hasn’t found his way back to the city proper. He wonders how that happened because last night, it was as if they went in too fast. It’s getting darker as the winter clouds covered the wilderness with fog and he finds it hard to look for the way back. His back was aching too because of the bag he was carrying.
He cursed. “Was that girl just playing around with me? Haish!” he walked straight to where his feet were carrying him. Maybe his luck will turn.
As he walked continuously, he ended up just going back to the house! “Is she a witch?!”
Just then, she came out of the house carrying a bin. “Oh, why did you come back? Have you forgotten something?”
He walked near her and looked at her with fierce eyes. “Are you tricking me? Or did you put a spell on me? I’ve been looking around that forest for who knows how long but I still ended up here!”
She was startled, looking at him with big eyes. “W—What? Hah,” then she started talking fast in her accent. He only got words that sounded like “ungrateful person”, “so full of himself” and “proud”.
                “This kid~” he started.
She threw the bin she was carrying with difficulty earlier and he was quite taken aback by the sudden explosion of strength from the small woman. “Yah! We’re almost the same age so don’t go saying that I’m a kid. I pointed the way to you, and you just don’t know how to follow directions.”
She walked towards him and grabbed his collar. “Do you remember last night? Do you know who you’re talking to? I…I work for the underground.” She stuttered a little. “So don’t you mess with me.”
~~
Well, somehow she lied a little bit. She’s not a big name, but she really works for the underground. She’s an accomplice. Someone not really minded by the big ones but plays an important role.
To her shock, he started to laugh, mocking her. It made her blood boil even more when he started patting her head. “I understand. I understand. Okay, fine, but can I stay for another night?”
She let go of his collar, “You’re so arrogant. Do you think I will let you stay here? Freeze to death.”
                She turned around.
“Ahhhh…I’m used to death threats you know.” He followed her, carrying the bin she threw. She was supposed to make a fire outside but the man came. “In exchange, I will cook for dinner. Please?”
She looked at him. “Just for another night.” Then her phone rang, “Imonim…he’s still here don’t worry.”
“Just let him stay there for two more days. The tenants extended their stay,” her aunt apologetically said. “And he can’t stay at the place I vacated yesterday alone. You know how people are in our place. I’m really sorry.”
“What? Imonim, two days…I can’t let him—”
                “Mianhae.”
She hung the phone. “Imonim? Imonim!”
She almost threw her phone and glared at the man behind her. “You really…” she looked some more and found it hard to be mad at him. She just sighed and gave up. “Come in; guess you’re staying for two more days.”
He gave her a cute smile which she can’t believe he can give, with that mustache and beard, isn’t it supposed to be creepy? But her knees went weak and her heart rammed hard to her ribs she can’t do anything but float to the pink clouds.
                “You’ll do the dinner.”

PART 4

“You changed a lot…”
She didn’t dare look back to the man who saved her. She was almost killed by a crazy man who wanted to take away her money and this person helped her to run away. They ended in a narrow alley in Apgeujong-dong.
She stopped walking and tried to stop herself from running into his arms and admit that she was wrong for being such a brat. Everything has changed now. She was not the spoiled rich girl he used to know one month ago, she’s already the CEO of Song Winery. A woman who hates mistakes and doesn’t know how to smile…a walking hell for the life of her employees.
She turned. “I already thanked you haven’t I? So please stop acting like were friends.”
                “(Name)~ssi…”
She sighed and looked at him again. He was still the same Yesung she knew. An undeniably handsome man with the scary eyes. He was still the one she loves…but should not love.
“Kamsahamnida.” She said and walked away.
Her heart hurts…seeing him this way. If only things haven’t ended the way they did. She wiped the tears that started to fall, hoping that the feeling fades away as soon as it came.
~~
“Makkoli, I should have bought soju instead…I don’t get drunk by this one…” he chuckled and lifted the bottle to his lips and ended it in one gulp.
He can’t believe how fast she has changed. You won’t even see any signs of her childish acts. Her long straight hair was already auburn and it complemented her eyes all the more. She looked prettier, more matured. No wonder they kept talking about her.
“Yeah! She’s the bomb.”  A man smirked.
He clenched his little fists. He can’t help but watch her from across the restaurant and he silently followed her out. What might have happened to her if he hadn’t come after her? Who knows what that bastard would’ve done if he has not come to pull her?
He stood up and fell. “Or so I thought.” He tried to sit and hit his head on the edge of the table, earning him a curse from himself. “Aish…why do you keep thinking about that girl? Get a life Jong-woon!”
He started to laugh by himself. His heart hurts but he kept on laughing like a mad man. Why did he think that the makkoli will not have an effect? It was the same drink she had that night before the winter ended. Now, it’s already spring…she love springs…but she hates the pollens sticking to her hair. What’s the connection? Aish…
“Hyung! Are you okay??” Ryeowook rushed to him after seeing his condition. He just came, along with the other members. “Why did you drink too much? You should have called someone to be with you.”
He helped him to sit. “You’ve had too much to drink.” Ryeowook looked at the table filled with empty bottles of makkoli.
“That’s exactly the same thing I told her. She shouldn’t have taken makkoli on her own. But it’s my fault right? I didn’t join her when she asked me to come with her.” He laughed again. “It’s my fault why she’s like that now. Look at the two of us!”
“Yah, what’s happening here, huh?” Leeteuk who came from the dorm upstairs lifted his face. “Why are you crying?”
“Crying? Me?” he lifted his hand and felt his cheeks. There were tears spilling from his eyes but he didn’t know.
He was still laughing while crying. At the same time he was cursing himself for acting that way and cursed some more for cursing aloud.
Heechul’s laugh echoed through the walls of their dorm. “Yesung is becoming more of a curse machine than me! Aigoo…” he patted his head. “You’re making daddy proud.”
His mind was drifting away. He closed his eyes and clasped his chest, he was already numb because of the alcohol but he can still feel the pain in his heart. How can he just realize how much she meant when she was already gone?  His tears continued to flow like river and Sungmin lend his shoulder for him.
“Hyung, if you have problems just tell us. You can take it all out.” But he didn’t hear it anymore because the darkness pulled him in.
Leeteuk tapped Sungmin’s shoulder. “It’s another girl problem…seems like love disease is spreading to all of us. Yah, I think he lost it. Just take him to his room before he drools.”
Sungmin lifted him. “Hyung?” He looked at him and saw his eyes. “Goodness! Hyung!!”
~~
“I said I don’t want it.” She went out of the room and ran.
It was like this again, just like four months ago. That time, she was running because she doesn’t want to get well but it was much more different today. She doesn’t like drinking medications just to relieve her stress.
When she woke up, she saw herself in the same room she was before, a drip connected to her arm. They said that she fainted because of over fatigue and dehydration. She overworks herself too much that her body gave up.
She turned to her left towards the same room in the west wing where she used to hide. She can clearly remember every moment that she spent there. Stopping in front of the door, she hesitated. Maybe there will be someone else in the room. But in the end, she still chose to enter it.
Everything was almost the same, from the placement of the bed up to the color of the flowers beside the empty bed. So was there really no one?
Slowly, she walked towards the window and opened the curtains hanging there just like the way she does whenever she went there before. She can almost hear how Yesung used to speak to her.
“Yah, why are you posing like that? So annoying…” he’ll always say when she puts air inside her cheeks before they take a picture. “You eat like a pig. Are you sure you’re rich?” he’ll say when she asks for another serving of the food he gives her. “What’s with your hair? You look stupid.” He’ll say when she puts her hair up. That was him…she never has anything to do that he wouldn’t react negatively.
“Omma, I thought you will be…”
She looked at the patient who just came out of the washroom. “Jong-woon oppa?”
It was like a dream. Do her eyes play a trick on her? Maybe she’s just dreaming again. She always dreams about him. Then maybe, she at the hospital was also a dream. She tried to wake up and failed.
A smile wiped across his handsome face. He looks tired too. He was even pushing the drip stand as he walks towards her. “You can’t find anywhere to hide again? Do they point you out just like before? Do you want me to keep you again?”
She looked at him. Just like when they met a few nights ago, her heart beats faster. She felt the unbelievably strong urge to hug him tight now that they were standing face-to-face…it was Jong-woon…her Jong-woon oppa.
He was sick too? Maybe it was destiny that they always get sick at the same moment. Maybe they were really meant for each other. But loving him…it only means hurting herself.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were here…” she walked past him.
“(Name)~ah…” he said in a very soft voice she almost didn’t hear it. “(Name)~ah…please don’t leave me again…”
She was stopped walking, tears started to fill her eyes. He finally called her informally. Just like real friends…or maybe siblings. Maybe, he was thinking of her as his little sister but still it felt good how he called her that way.
                “(Name)~ah…just stay here…please…”
And she did. She didn’t look back but she stayed. Her feet were glued to the ground as his voice echoed in her mind over and over like a broken record. She can hear the rolling of his drip stand as he pushed it closer to her. She closed her eyes.
Please, let this be not a dream…I want to stay like this forever with him…no thoughts of tomorrow…just live today like it will be the last…
He held her close, hugging her from behind. “(Name)~ah…I will be good to you. Just please stay with me.”
“Look at us…” she tried to stop her voice from trembling. “Now, you are the one asking me to stay…”
“I know I have been bad to you.” He pressed his lips on her hair and whispered. “I always scold you. I didn’t realize how much you mean to me until you left me but I know that I…”
“Stop…just treat me like your sister oppa.” She closed her eyes tighter, hoping to stop her tears. “Just like before, let me hide under your protection…what we have…it will always be something special.”
His hand wrapped tighter around her waist. He just stood there and held her. She can feel his heartbeat and it says something she wanted to hear but she would rather not. It will only make her feel worse. What if he sees the old her and hate her more? She can’t stand what she’s like right now and she might go back to who she was. If that happens, he will not like her anymore.
“I miss the old you, (name)~ah…” he said through her hair, his breath giving tingling sensations to her. “When you smile, you make me happy. Even if you can be very annoying at times, you can still take away my stress for the whole day. You made my life wonderful even if you’re too wild.”
His sweet voice comes to her like a soft lullaby. His warmth makes her feel safer. He loosened his arms around her but she held him. He seems to get the hint instantly. “Do you really want to stay like siblings (name)~ah? Because if you were to ask me…I’m not willing to stay that way.”
She shook her head. “But I’m scared to disappoint you again…I’m childish and bratty and I’m too loud. I know you will only get a headache when you’re with me.”
“Why are you thinking that way?” he chuckled. “That’s the same reason why I like you. You’re different.”
She wiped her face and looked at him. “Yeah, right. You broke my heart one month ago because of my hyperactiveness and now you’re telling me you like me that way?”
He removed his arms around her. “Yah, I didn’t tell you that I don’t like you’re hyper activeness! I just said that you’re like a sister to me. You’re the one who jumped into conclusions.”
She placed her hands on her hips. “Come on, you’re just saying that now. But why did you turn down my marriage proposal last month?”
“Because I didn’t know that I’m in love with you already!” He shouted just as a woman entered his room.
They both looked at the woman’s startled expression. “Jong-woon?”
                “Omma…”
She smiled brightly. “Oppa, will you still love me if I go back to my old self?” she whispered to him.
                “Of course…” he whispered back.
She ran to his mother and bowed happily. “Annyeong haseyo ohmoni! I will be Yesung oppa’s wife. Song (Name)…ah…no…Kim (Name) imnida!”
He grabbed her mouth shut. “Omma, don’t listen to her. She’s crazy!”
She removed his hand. “That’s why you fell in love with me right? Go, lie about that and I will leave you again.” She looked at his shocked mom. “Ohmoni, I’m sorry for being so loud. I will be good to Jong-woon oppa, I promise.” She lifted her right hand and crossed her heart.
His mother smiled. “What a cute girl we have!” she walked to her and pinched her cheeks. “It’s okay to be loud sometimes, but our Jong-woon here has a very terrible mood so please understand.”
She looked at his son and slapped his butt. “You didn’t tell me you’re already getting married, young man.”
“Ohmoni!!” the boys then entered Yesung’s room and were startled to see the two of them together. “(Name)~ssi?”
Yesung’s mother grabbed her arm and dragged her towards the boys. “This girl over here…she’s going to be my daughter-in-law soon. Isn’t she beautiful?”
“Oh, no…I need to get outta here before anyone starts harassing me again!” and Kyuhyun ran out.
~~
“I’ve been good.” Yesung started. “I decided to work again after I got discharged so I can easily adjust to heavier work for our comeback. Since the doctors didn’t find anything to let me stay at the hospital longer, I’ve got more time to spend for work than the other members. I chose to work rather than to rest because I’m feeling more tired when I rest a lot.”
It was his turn to answer the MC’s question. He doesn’t have anything much to say and he can’t say that he would be getting married. The two of them still have a lot of adjusting to do. They fight every now and then, but that’s normal. She was really loud again. She runs everytime. But he was proud of how much she developed as a person.
She went back to work and handled being the CEO of their company really well. She also went to cooking classes because she said that she needs to prepare to be a housewife for him. She makes him really happy more than anything and she gets along really well with his family.
“I love your wife Jong-woon.” His mom would always say. She spoils her everytime they visit. Sometimes he’s even jealous to his fiancée because his mom would take care of her instead of him.
After the interview, they headed to Namsan for a performance.
“Hello?” he answered his phone when they finished preparing. It was her.
“Oppa! Where are you?” she said sweetly but loudly.
He immediately removed the phone away from his ear before his eardrums exploded and turned the settings to hands-free. “Namsan. We’re going to have a performance.”
“Oh, see you home then. I’m going to Apgeujong-dong again tonight, okay? Saranghae~~~! Bye-bye.”
                “Ne…”
That’s when Hankyung showed up after going out. Looks like there was something wrong but he decided to let it go for a while. He must be just tired. After going back from China that morning, he must feel very worked up of the heavy work that faced him.
“Are you ready?” their manager called all of them. “Let’s go.”
They went up the stage. The warmth of the night became warmer as their beloved E.L.F.s cheered for them whole-heartedly. He scanned the crowd. They still waited after so long. It’s been years since they last went up together in the same stage like this. After all the challenges that they faced, their E.L.F.s still fought with them until now, it made him really happy. But as he continued to look at all those people shouting their names and screaming for them, one person caught his attention.
Coming from the middle of the crowd, a woman tried to make her way to the front. She was wearing a bright sapphire blue headband blinking wildly in the dark, showing of her long blue hair. She was like a walking doll in blue from head to toe. His jaw almost dropped when he saw the big LED board she was lifting as she screamed his name.
                “YESUNG OPPA!!! SARANGHAE!!!”
~~
They bowed together after their number while the E.L.F.s continued to chant “Super Junior”. It was overwhelming, making their hearts weep in joy and pride. It was their lovely ladies cheering them on and standing for them.
“Just now,” Leeteuk started. “Something really caught our attention. It was an E.L.F., one our Yesungie’s own.”
He looked at them and tried to hide his reaction. He knew that they were going to laugh but he’s used to it. Come on, whose not going to after being with his little princess for long? Sometimes she even laughs at herself. He looked at the woman whose eyes were still hopeful as she waved the big board proudly. He can’t imagine how long she did that humungous thing.
“I’m jealous.” Donghae said with a smile. “I hope someone would propose to me that way too!”
He smiled at the sight of her. Her board says this: YESUNG OPPA! MARRY ME! SARANGHAE!
Siwon placed a hand on his shoulder and asked, “Hyung, what will your answer be?”
“Are you sure you want to marry me?” he asked through the microphone and saw her nodding her head excitedly. “If that’s so, then set the date. We’ll get married after you fix the papers.”
All the girls screamed in delight as he saw her jump up and down, shaking everyone around her like a crazy woman. She was really happy and he can’t take that from her. He becomes happy whenever he sees her like that.
~~
She shook the woman beside her. “Did you hear that?! I’m going to be oppa’s wife!”
She screamed. But instead of being hated by the people around her, they seem to be excited as well. They laughed and screamed with her as if they knew each other for long.
“Oh,” said a young woman. “I envy you unnie! They noticed you. Maybe it’s because of your unique hair. It’s cute.”
She smiled at everyone and waved at the boys. “Oppa! I’ll take care of everything! Just marry me! See you!”
She excused herself and went through the crowd.
“But,” Ryeowook took a microphone. “Yesung hyungie is mine.”
“No, he’s mine.” Kyuhyun stated, making everyone laugh.
She laughed too but just waved at them and went off to where her car was parked. This will be one of the most memorable nights of her life. The first one was when they met in winter, fought in winter during her birthday, met again in the night of spring and reconciled and now…she proposed again in the night of summer. Maybe autumn will be a very good time to get married. But not now…maybe next year!
She smiled and inserted her car key through the keyhole. “Thank you Jong-woon oppa…you made my life meaningful. I’m not worthless anymore…”
She felt like flying…but it’s just going to be a feeling…she can’t do that can she?
~~
“Yay!” they popped a champagne bottle and poured one glass for each.
Hankyung excused himself and said that he wanted to rest but still congratulated them. It wasn’t the first time she saw him but they barely see each other before he went to China.  The boys decided to have a party before going to sleep and their managers agreed.
Yesung pulled her to the kitchen while the others stayed at the living room and partied like they haven’t had one in their entire life.
“I thought you were going to Apgeujong-dong? Why were you there?” he pinched her nose lightly. “You lied to me.”
She smiled at him and gave him a hug. “Mianhae…”
He ran a hand through her hair. “I thought you were some kind of a clown with that hair of yours. You said you won’t change your hair anymore?”
“Why? You don’t like it?” she pouted her lips just like always.
He shook his head. “It’s okay. That’s you…I loved you because you were you and I can’t change you, can I?”
She smiled and pulled him to the sink, washing her hair through the faucet there. “It’s washable you know. I won’t change again because you don’t like it. I’ll just stay this way.”
He gave her a towel and smiled. His heart flutters…he wonders how she can make it. “Thank you…”
                “Saranghae…” she whispered.
“Saranghae.” He leaned forward to give her a peck.
“Hyung!” it was Ryeowook. They looked fiercely at him with their scary eyes. “I—I’m sorry!!!”
                He ran and they laughed.
“What are we supposed to do?” Yesung asked.
She shrugged. “I think it was something called a kiss…”
“Silly girl.” He pinched her and continued what they were supposed to do.

A/N: It’s done…I don’t know if did well this time…oh! I wanted to write more but decided not to...>.< It will be unfair right?
And for the record, I’ll make the “Island Uncut” (because The Island was really short) that’s for those people who asked me^^ But that will be after all the stories, I’m sorry>.<…
Did you like this part? Please tell me what you think! I will try to improve my writing more and keep studying for future stories. It was really disappointing that I need to end it now, that’s because I need to write Kangin’s story too! And “Undone” is soon! Please look forward to it! My first try in mystery….haha…*excitedly screeching* Thank you for reading!!
